In the words of our customers
- Great sounding tweeter for the $$$$
-
by Thomas on 12/10/2017Got these to replace some blown tweeters from my 2 sets of Focal 570ac coaxials. They fit perfectly but had to be glued to the pole. They stick out a little further than the old ones, so clearance could be an issue for some. Added some XO-13VR crossovers and now I have excellent sounding components. The crossovers are set to -3db front and -6db rear for the tweeter and there is no listening fatigue. These tweeters are far less BRIGHT than the original 570AC’s. I may try 0db front and -3db rear when I have time to pull the door skins back off. Which isn’t that difficult on a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO, but up here in Minnesota its cold outside!!! 8 hours to complete project at 22deg air temp not counting windchill! The tweeters can be angled by sliding the tweeter on it’s backing tube or be taken apart to allow a tighter fit for mounting in various locations (factory door or A pillar ect.) Some RTV silicone worked great to hold them in place, a blow dryer help speed up the curing process. Oh and the white tag on the black wire is the + Thanks Woofers Ect!
