The speakers in any audio system establish the basis for the quality of sound. After all, if the speakers themselves aren’t of the best quality by design - the music, no matter how pure, will get lost in the transfer. Good speaker engineering doesn’t happen by accident nor is it accomplished by expensive marketing. Years of research, engineering and critical listening go into our proprietary speaker system designs – they are the systems critically acclaimed by industry professionals, and they are built on a technology called “Contoured Dispersion”.

The CDT Audio Component drivers with “Contoured Dispersion” provide the ultimate solution to the sonically intense reverberant field car audio environment. Most factory audio speakers are located in the same place, and most of our competitors take the “shotgun” approach with a multiplicity of disparate sound sources. Our Braxial driver system provides single mounted contoured dispersion door mounted system that produces a sonic image that virtually appears “right in front” of you. It offers maximum sound definition with a minimum of drivers. This means it’s also very easy to install. Simplicity at it’s best. They’re competition quality and they literally contour the dispersion so it immerses you in sound. Critical ears have turned to CDT Audio and you’ll be a believer too.

CDT Audio systems in the Eurosport line utilize a 26mm soft dome tweeter a matching crossover and a large selection of mid/woofers in either of two configurations separate drivers or quasi-coaxial Braxial configurations.

All mid/woofers utilize Kevlar fabric cones with semi-soft polymer domes and rubber surrounds. These superior divers feature virtually unlimited life and extreme ³quietness². Ultra low distortion and smoothly controlled roll-off characteristics are provided.

The Braxial models place the same 26mm tweeter in a bracket on the driver that is off the mid/woofer axis. This ensures that the crossover interface will occur at the proper acoustic time and in the proper acoustic space. The off-axis orientation avoids acoustically resonant sound spaces within the assembly. Axial designs inherently incorporate a relatively high ³Q² acoustic chamber in the region between the cone and the back of the tweeter. The offset of the Braxial lowers this ³Q² to nil, and only one driver needs to be mounted per channel.

Many auto-sound systems cannot ideally provide for a convenient ideal mounting position. In some cases the tweeters may need to be mounted well below ear level. In order to embellish the extreme top end and to lift the image (usually toward the windshield area) the CDT Image Enhancement kit can add a dash of "air² and space to enable the best overall special character.
