Overview: When used with a compatible Eclipse navigation head unit, this tuner allows you to receive SIRIUS satellite radio and SIRIUS real-time traffic programming in your vehicle. In addition to this tuner and antenna, you must have a separate subscription to both SIRIUS Radio and SIRIUS Traffic to receive SIRIUS digital satellite radio signals and real-time traffic information.

Note: It is possible to activate only the SIRIUS radio or SIRIUS Traffic portion of the tuner. The Tuner has two SID numbers located on the bottom of the unit used for activation. One is labeled "Audio" which is used to activate SIRIUS's radio service and the other is labeled "Data" which is used to activate SIRIUS's traffic service.

SIRIUS Traffic: SIRIUS Traffic provides navigational traffic information for 22 major metropolitan areas in the continental USA. SIRIUS Traffic conveys navigations traffic information for visual display on a compatible navigation system. Using a navigation system (such as the Eclipse AVN6610), traffic data from SIRIUS is displayed either superimposed on a navigation map or in a list type format displayed on the headunit's navigation screen. The data provides traffic speed and flow information as well as scheduled and unscheduled incidents, alerting you to congestion, accident, road construction, detours, and other traffic related information as you drive. The SIRIUS Traffic data is updated frequently enabling you to be up-to-date regarding traffic situations. Based on the information from SIRIUS Traffic, your navigation system can then plan alternate routes before you get caught in traffic and if you make a wrong turn, the system can recalculate your route and get you back on track in seconds without traffic delays.

Auto Avoid: When you select Auto Avoid Traffic on your compatible headunit the system checks for the best route every 5 minutes based on traffic congestion.

Traffic Flow Information: When the system receives information about traffic flow (congestion), you can choose whether to display the traffic flow information on your navigation unit's map screen. You can choose to view or not to view the following - Free Flowing Traffic, Traffic Jams or Stationary Traffic.

SIRIUS Satellite Radio: SIRIUS Satellite Radio features more than 120 streams of original programming beamed coast-to-coast, including 65 streams of commercial-free, digital-quality music, plus news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming.

Note: Satellite radio service is available only within the contiguous United States. Service is not available in Alaska and Hawaii.

Compatibility: This Sirius and Traffic tuner is compatible with the Eclipse AVN6610 navigation headunit through the unit's E-LAN and Data port connection.

CD Changer Pass-Thru: The SIRIUS radio + Traffic tuner uses the CD changer and Data input on the Eclipse head unit. If you also want to use a CD changer, there is a CD changer pass-through connection on the SIRIUS radio tuner, so they can be daisy chained together.

SIRIUS Antenna: The SIRIUS antenna has a powerful magnetic base that allows you to mount the antenna on the roof or trunk lid of your vehicle. The antenna needs to be positioned in such a way that it will be free of mechanical and line-of-sight obstructions.
