Clarion's CCA-iPod interface cable connects your iPod to select Clarion receivers. With just one cable between your iPod and your stereo, you'll get super-fast data transfer and full playback control. You'll be able to operate your iPod from the stereo's faceplate with complete command over playback features like start/stop, forward/reverse, and shuffle/repeat, as well as access to your playlists. Track and artist information show up on the stereo's display. Your iPod even recharges while it's connected.
Compatibility: The CCAIPOD adapter will work with the following Clarion stereos and iPods.
Connections: The interface has an attached cable with a round 8-pin plug for connection to your compatible CeNET head unit using the supplied 31" adapter cable. The interface also has an 8-pin plug for connection to your compatible iPod using the supplied iPod connection cable, which has an 8-pin plug on one end and an iPod dock connecter on other. iPod Operation: Once the iPod is connected to the CCAIPOD the iPod buttons are disabled and the display is locked. All operations of the iPod are controlled from your head unit. Some iPod operations and features will be unavailable. Supported iPod Playback Functions: Below is a list of operations supported by the CCAIPOD and controlled through a compatible Clarion head-unit:
iPod Menu Mode: During the iPod Menu display, there are 6 categories to select from:
Random and Repeat Functions: The CCAIPOD supports the following Random and Repeat functions of your iPod:
Playlist Function: The CCAIPOD interface can support all the playlists in your iPod but cannot be used to create a playlist. A playlist must be first created in your iPod prior to connection to your head unit via the CCAIPOD. The interface then will support all playlists that are previously loaded into your iPod before connections. However "On-the-go" playlist which is created by the iPod itself will not be supported. The adapter might not play updated songs of the "Smart Playlist" properly after connection. It only plays the list set before connection. Changing Sources: You can still change sources from your head-unit while the iPod is connected and playing. When you change the source while listening to your iPod the iPod playback is temporarily paused. Your iPod's settings and play position are kept as long as the iPod is still connected during that period of time.
