The M6+ (cast alloy red frame) has a more massive voice coil than typical bass/midrange and leans toward the bass in the sound compared to the standard high-end mid drivers. The upper midrange is somewhat mellower than standard high-end mids which creates a very very smooth and balanced non-fatiguing sound with an extension in the bass region never heard of before from a 6.5 mid driver.
