The CX mid-bass/midrange drivers are detailed, articulate, and have intense dynamic impact with exceptional clarity. They reproduce the finest details of the midrange while reproducing the mid-bass range with intense dynamics and exceptional transient response. Their performance provides a truly exciting listening experience.

The design and materials of the CX drivers are what provide this level of performance. The cones are multiple layer carbon fiber formed from two non-similar matrix materials. They are formed with a reinforcing ridge at the outer edge to further stiffen the cone body and damp resonances in the body of the cone. The result is a very stiff and light cone that is well damped for excellent transient response, high efficiency, and very low distortion. A butyl rubber surround provides proper edge termination to further reduce any unwanted cone resonances. Edge wound ribbon wire voice coils and large motor structures provide the low "Q" and high BL product necessary for incredible transient response and intense dynamics.
