HD-62M6 - CDT Audio 6.5" 2-Way Midrange Speaker System

The M6 (cast alloy red frame) has a more massive voice coil than typical bass/midrange and leans toward the bass in the sound compared to the standard high-end mid drivers. The upper midrange is somewhat mellower than standard high-end mids which creates a very very smooth and balanced non-fatiguing sound with an extension in the bass region never heard of before from a 6.5 mid driver. M6 is designed to handle about double the power compared to any industry standard high-end 6.5 mid-woofer. 150 Watt RMS 300 Watt Peak.

CDT has added functionality and quality in this module with provision for an extra Tweeter. EX-484 is an upgrade of previous SatNet-480 with an extra set of terminals for an image Tweeter.

This operates in parallel the main Tweeter. Both are protected. The mylar and film capacitors are larger and handles more power. Level control is by slide switches.

The DRT-25 Tweeters are also unique. They are a 25 mm (1") silk exended range dome design with a neodymium magnet and ferrofluid filled voice coil gap to give sound and power handling that typically requires a much larger speaker. This, along with the unique elliptic 24dB. high-definition passive crossovers and the extended midrange response of the midrange drivers, provides a tweeter that is sweet sounding, yet powerful in a small, unobtrusive package. Including flat and angled surface and flush mounts. Also often used as mid tweet in CenterStage systems such as model CS-25.
