Three-way system deriving from the combination of HV 165L woofer, HL 70 full-range and HT 25 tweeter. The crossover, especially designed for it, has high quality components and provides optimised crossover points. The emission level can be adjusted according to personal taste and the vehicles acoustical signature, ensuring the best results in whatever car compartments. Two speakers with outstanding energy in minimum size, thanks to the Neodymium magnet; a compact tweeter and a rich set of accessories for factory location: HSK 163 is very versatile and can meet various needs.

I put these in the front door of my 2012 JSW with plenty of dynamat. Anything is better than the stock speakers in a jetta, but these turn the front seat into a sound stage. You can run them off an aftermarket head unit and they will function better than the oem, but if you dont amplify them to something substantial they will always sound hungry. I used the XDi 1200.6 recommended here by Josh. Combined with the HSK 165xl in the rears it has filled my entire car with warm buttery topping of sounds filling the full soundstage.
